Lembu Hitam (Black Ox)
Pelebon Agung Puri Ubud 2008 that was held yesterday was so awesome. The Pelebon Agung of Tjokorda Gede Agung Suyasa as well known as Cok Lingsir was crowded with so many people both from Balinese and International tourists that wish to witness this grand event. Every eyes were focused on the 28.5 meters or nine stories tall Bede that was being carried to
setra (burial site) Banjar Tebesaya, Peliatan, Ubud.
The Bade that carries layon (the deceased body, if I’m not mistaken) left Puri Ubud at 13.30 Central Indonesia Time. In front of the Bade was a convoy of Kings from all around Indonesia. Some members of the convoy were the Royal Family of Keraton (kingdom) Surakarta. Followed by a small Lembu Hitam (Black Ox) convoy, and behind it a bigger Lembu Hitam convoy. On top of that ox stood the crown prince of Puri Ubud, Tjokorda Ngurah Suyadnya familiarly known as Cok Wah.

Following my other post a few days ago about the flower parade in Tomohon, the festival doesn’t stop right there.
Flower Carpet at Tomohon Flower Festival
Yesterday the flower festival had set a new Indonesian record with the largest flower carpet ever made with the size of 79 meters x 50 meters or about 86 yards x 55 yards, almost the size of a football field. A total of 7 million flowers were needed to build this massive carpet.
The flower carpet is so huge, that it manage to beat the size of the flower carpet shown in Holtifair, Netherlands last year with the size of 50 x 50 meters. MURI the Indonesian Museum of Records suggest to record the flower carpet in Tomohon with the Guiness Book of World Records, so the city of Tomohon will be known better worldwide because of its flower festival and fulfilling Tomohon’s dream of becoming a horticulture tourism spot in Indonesia.

The Bunaken National Park can be reach trough Manado Port with approximately 30 minutes using a motor boat, the cruise ship in Blue Banter marina about 10-15 minutes, and trough Nusantara Diving Center (NDC) marina approximately 20 minutes using a speed boat.
Bunaken National Park holds nearly 70% of all fish species known in Indo-Western pacific, with 20 dive sites. The best spot to dive in the Bunaken National Park would be south east of the island; there lies the Underwater Great Walls which is a vertical giant reef wall.
